Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Berlin, Sangamon county, Illinois

The Mt. Zion Cemetery is located in the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of section 6, Island Grove township, Sangamon county Illinois.  It consists of a four-sided wall - roughly 13' x 6' - around a collection of broken stones, on the site of the original church, in the middle of a soybean field.  The coordinates are +39° 46' 17.30", -89° 54' 55.95".

Known to be buried there is Andrew Scott (21 Nov 1786 - 16 Sept 1859, aged 72 years, 9 months, 26 days) and wife Anna Longest Scott (18 Oct 1791 - 14 Sept 1853, aged 61 years, 10 months, 27 days)
