1823 Lemon Township, Butler co. Ohio d. 10 Nov 1859 Island Grove, Sangamon
co. Ill. (Bright's Disease, or what is known now as various kidney diseases);
buried Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Ill. then removed to Oak Ridge Cemetery,
Springfield, Ill. in 1901. Malinda and her son lived in Des Moines,
Iowa, at some point after Thomas' death; they lived in Richland township,
Tama county Iowa in 1870, in Iowa City, Johnson co. Iowa, in 1880, and
in Carroll co. Iowa in 1895. Malinda & Thomas had 1 or 2 children:

Thomas C. died young, no other information, only mentioned
in one place with no source information; Malinda herself said in the
1900
census that she had had but one child, and that none were living; in
the obituary for Wilson T. Reed (below) he is described as an only
child.

Illinois d. 13 Mar 1897 Carroll
co. Iowa (Addison's Disease); was a student at State University of Iowa
in 1880, graduated with a law degree in 1882, worked for Green Bay
Lumber, never married. Buried Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Ill. then
removed to Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Ill. in 1901, along with
his
father.
